Overlay Asset Management Appoints Head of Research


Overlay Asset Management (“OAM”), the currency management specialist, announces the appointment of Philip Bond as Head of Research. Philip, who joined OAM on Tuesday, 26 May, has 18 years’ experience in financial markets, both as a quantitative researcher and trader.

Philip becomes Chairman of OAM’s Research Committee and reports to Hélie d’Hautefort, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of OAM. Philip is also a member of OAM’s Investment and Executive Committees. He will coordinate and oversee OAM’s research team.

During his career, Philip has worked for Credit Suisse and JP Morgan as an arbitrage trader; he developed quantitative trading strategies at Brevan Howard and managed a systematic trading platform at Peloton Partners.

Philip holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Southampton, a DEA in Finance from the University of Paris Dauphine, a DEA in Pure Mathematics from the University of Paris Orsay and a DEA in Applied Non-Linear Analysis from Ecole Polytechnique. He has a visiting fellowship and lectures in the Mathematics Department of Oxford University.
